Where in the World Are You? :)

There are several thousand regular visitors to Marketmanila, and less than a 1,000 who comment every so often, and of whom, 300 or so might fall into the frequent commenter category. The last time I asked this question, “Where Are You?” in May 2008, nearly 500 readers left a comment, and it was utterly fascinating to see where the readers were based around the globe. My viewer statistics (google analytics) tell me marketmanila.com has readers or visitors (possibly by mistake!) from over 140+ countries and territories in the past year, and it amazes me that folks from Greenland (yes, finally, one or two repeat visitors from Greenland), Antartica and even the Falkland Islands have browsed the site. I often go back to that post last year because I like to try and situate where a commenter is coming from. And I am sure many of you are equally curious but it’s a pain in the neck to find that old post. So I am posing the question again, and I hope you will all indulge me by leaving a comment with your present location or town that you call home. This way, all of the relatively new readers can see where everyone else is coming from, and regulars can refresh their memories… Many thanks. And yes, these types of posts are extremely well visited… as human curiosity is hard to suppress… and folks keep returning just to see where folks are from. :)

P.S. I am away from my desk at the moment, so please be patient if you are a new commenter and your comment doesn’t appear on the post for a while. I will get to the moderation task as soon as I can. Thanks.

  104. From Tanauan, Batangas but has been a United States resident since the seventies and currently residing in Tracy, California. The City of Tracy is about 70 miles east of San Francisco and is surrounded by almond, walnut, peach, apricot, cherry, apple, etc. orchards. Since Tracy is the gateway to the well-known San Joaquin Valley (dubbed as the food basket of the world),there are areas close to Tracy where vast tract of lands are planted with corn, all sorts of beans, and an assortment of various other fruits and vegetables. Most of the residents here have allergies due to the high pollen count here and yours truly is one of them. Despite that, I find this place as a close second to paradise because I have access to the freshest and least expensive produce you could find because of my proximity to the source. For a “foodie” like me, you could not ask for anything more.

I’ve been an avid fan of your site for years now and have enjoyed it very much. Keep up the good work!
