This is the first “Trivia Contest” of the week, to celebrate Marketmanila’s third anniversary, and to get things kick-started for the holidays. In this post, readers can win 1 of 3 Little Brown Books up for grabs (more to be given away later in the week). Here is how it works:

I will describe FIVE different marketmanila posts below. You will have to find the appropriate post in my archives, read through the post, and see if there is a TRIVIA QUESTION at the BOTTOM of the post. Not at the bottom of the comments section, but the BOTTOM of the main post. Keep going if you see a “Sorry, this isn’t the right post…etc.”, and find the other mentioned posts until you locate the trivia question.

1. Has Marketman ever done a post on a parol? Particularly one made the old-fashioned way, with paper or papel de japon???

2. Roast Beef for Christmas Eve dinner? Make it an Angus Roast Beef, will you?

3. The ultimate fruitcake recipe for the holidays? Look up this beauty with recipe by “Sister” published in December 2005…

4. Marketman has a serious thing for “gingerbread houses”, look for the post that has a picture of a very famous RUSSIAN building that Marketman replicated in gingerbread. Remember, the right post must have the photo of the Russian building at the TOP of the post!

5. And if you haven’t died from all the holiday calories so far, what dessert is translated into English as “Bacon from Heaven?”

PLEASE SEE THE FIRST COMMENT BELOW, IT IS OUR LABRADOR’S ANSWER. DO NOT SKIP AND COPY SOMEONE ELSE’S ANSWER. IT WON’T WORK. WINNERS MAY PICK UP THEIR LITTLE BROWN BOOK FROM ANY OF THE T-SHIRT AND TOTE PICK-UP POINTS TO BE ANNOUNCED ON WEDNESDAY. IN OTHER WORDS, YOU CAN JOIN THIS CONTEST FROM ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, BUT YOU MUST ARRANGE TO PICK UP YOUR PRIZE LOCALLY, IT CANNOT BE SENT TO YOU.

    This is my very first comment although I’ve been a lurker for the longest time, I was contented before to just let my hubby do the commenting – but this trivia game is just too good to pass up. The brown book prize is seemingly more of a bonus to the entire experience. The best part really is reading for the first time your articles which are awesome blasts from the past, MM.
