You know where we will be having dinner tonight. And this is the little write-up that is going to be placed at each table at lunch and dinner today:
Studies show that in the Philippines, 28-30% of children from ages 0 to 10 are undernourished. For these children, their development becomes severely compromised unless something is done to halt or reverse the effects of undernourishment.
Marketmanila.com is a non-profit, non-commercial food blog that sponsors feeding programs in public schools in Taguig and Cebu City. Over the past two years, generous readers and donors have provided approximately 45,000 full meals for children identified as being severely undernourished.
Today, for the second year in a row, MAMOU celebrates its anniversary by giving back. All of the day’s proceeds will be donated to the Marketmanila.com feeding program at the Tenement School in Taguig. MAMOU’s staff and crew have also kindly offered their service charge earnings for the day to this worthy cause.
So please enjoy your meal, eat heartily and know that together with MAMOU, you are helping reduce the incidence of undernourishment in our community.

A little Band-aid in the ocean of ills in the country. Yes, we cannot change the world, but the smile in those youngsters’ faces surely makes the day.
Hurrah for MM’s feeding program, Mamou and diners who will put more smiles in children’s faces in Taguig and Cebu City.
That’s very nice community reach out of Mamou and her staff to share their resources and energy to our less fortunate kids. I am a firm believer it is better to give than to receive IF you have some to share with.
