New York, New York…

Marketman & Family are on holiday in the woods of New England for a few days… then down to New York for a few days before returning home. Things will be slow around here. :)

The latest addition to the family’s collection of snow globes, this one a present from Sister to the Teen. It’s a Manhattan winter scene, complete with cabs that rotate around the base of the globe. Other snow globes in an old post, here. We wish all of you in the U.S. a Happy Thanksgiving!

  1. Love the snow globe! Have a safe trip MM & family, although we don’t celebrate thanksgiving here Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family too.

  2. Oh, have a wonderful family-time, MM and family!! It may be cold, but moments spent with loved ones will warm you all up!

Right now, I’m browsing your site for, of all things, Chicharon!! The Chronicles, to be precise!! The texture would go very well with the ham and turkey. Parboiled skins are now drying up in 200′ oven, as per betty_q’s advice. I can smell it…

  3. Have fun..Happy Thanksgiving to you & family and sisters too.The snow globe is awesome!

  4. Hi there, I would love to take you out for a snack or meal or even pizza at Di Fara’s in Brooklyn. Been reading your blog since a friend told me about zubuchon. Awesome blog that always makes me cook or go out and eat in the wee hours.
    God Bless!!

  5. Happy, happy Thanksgiving to you MM, Mrs. MM and the Teen. Thanks for all the wonderful posts for the past years and for the future years to come. Your blog is always a must see first thing in the morning. Nothing compares, priceless.

  6. Thanks everyone for all the kind greetings, I hope that you all (and your families) have a wonderful Thanksgiving as well. Michelle, thanks for the invite, but we are only in the city for a couple of days, and are extremely busy with family and other commitments.

  7. i have started my own snow globe collection, finally, when we went to the US late spring this year. i reckoned it is best to get the snow globe if i am on the trip myself and as a souvenir for the places visited and not have friends/families get it. since i have small kids at home, i kept mine in the office. but when my daughter visited me at the office one time, she broke the one we got from Baltimore. arggghhhh!!!

I am sure you had an awesome Thanksgiving! enjoy the rest of you holidays in the States!

  8. Marketman, can you recommend a good lechon place in New York or NJ? I wish you can open an outlet here in the US. Thanks !! Happy Travels !!
