A cheery, whimsical and liquor laden New Year’s Eve Dinner. Some colorful placemats and bright dishes and candles.
Some silver and gold foil wrapped chocolate coins for good luck. This was a last minute attempt at gussying up a small family dinner at home.
Gone is the stuffiness of a formal setting for our Christmas dinners, in is a casual and light mood.
On the side board, a selection of drinks from wine to champagne for the midnight toast and bottles of the serious stuff if you are so inclined.
The colorful candles or votive candle holders continued the theme. Parols outdoors add to the festive setting.
And the wine? It’s a bottle of “James Bond” wine from South Africa that we lugged back last summer, of course. :)
