I thought it might be a good idea to do an updated Marketman Chocolate Index, a summary of all the posts that have significant chocolate content, and was mildly shocked to find nearly 70 posts in the archives!
To encourage you to go back and explore older posts, in this case, on the topic of chocolate, the next mini-anniversary contest is this: in three random posts on chocolate (from among the nearly seventy links below), there is PART of a question at the bottom of each post, and when you find all three parts of the question you can then leave a comment on this post that will count as an entry for one of three prizes to be awarded: the practi-clips, stretch hotcooking rubber bands and the silicone food loops that I can mail to anywhere in the Philippines within reach of LBC (more details on prizes, here)… so happy hunting and good luck!
P.S. Artisan has added three prizes for Cebu based readers. So if you leave a comment to join the contest, please add “Cebu-based” so I can award prizes to the right folks, many thanks!

We can do it for Cebu (pick up during BTC Sunday Market) and Manila (If you’ll hand carry them and have them pick up from SM perhaps?). My concern is that LBC might man-handle the items and will not get to the recipient in proper form.

Artisan, let’s keep it to Cebu BTC pick-up instead. Simpler for everyone. Thanks!

Reading through all these chocolate posts left me weak in the knees. Maybe I should aspire to marry the owner of a chocolate shop?

Don’t want to buckle down on my knees, and really have no time to review posts at this time ( but I will, after the contest). Just enjoying the response to the “tournament”.

125-140 Am guessing.
P.S. where can I buy the vanilla paste and Valrhona chocolate? Would like to try to bake the chocolate tart by Payard before Thanksgiving. Thanks.
Farida: I am back in town for a few more days. If you want to make a quick trip here, I will take you to the wholesaler where you can stock up on your couvertures like Valrhona for your Christmas baking and give you a 1 literof one of my Pure Vanilla extract (pasalubongs from friends). If you can’t make it and would still like to bake the tart, can you not sub with Lindt which is readily available?

just wondering why i was listed as coming from canada? Am from the philippines po… =)
mudra, if you are using a company computer and server, it may be based in Canada, even if you are in Manila. If you log in from home, chances are it will show your present location unless you use a server domiciled elsewhere. A small percentage of the comments are mis-identified location wise due to server issues.
farida, if you are based in the U.S., a good high end grocery should have the chocolate and vanilla.

Thanks, MM. Guess have to do my grocery in Seattle. Nothing at the good grocery story I went to yesterday. On second thought, I will ask my dau in Seattle to get those for me. Can’t wait to try the tart.
bettq: thanks for the invite. Are you still there early next week like Monday or Tuesday? May I email you?
Oh, talked to dau. She suggested Trader Joe’s or I will just try what bettq said..use Lindt chocolates.
