I had no idea when I first spotted these festive earrings in Divisoria that they were a “knock-off” of very popular earrings by Dior. They just seemed like an interesting reversal of the standard take on earrings, with the larger ball or item sitting behind the ear lobe rather than in front of them. And they definitely seemed like Christmas balls. Needless to say, I bought a hundred pairs for less than a dollar apiece, thinking it would be nice if restaurant staff wore them during the holiday season.
The crew were thrilled to get the colorful earrings, and it was only days later that it became apparent that they were taking off the idea of Dior, oops. Crew members have even taken to mixing fronts and backs, trading colors amongst themselves to come up with new combinations. Not sure if it’s the design of larger globe and smaller globe that’s a knock-off, or the sheen and colors as well. The ones on the Dior website seem much snazzier than these ones.
We are in full-swing holiday mode at this point, but pray that the storm barreling down on Samar miraculously reduces its intensity or doesn’t cause anywhere near as much damage as Haiyan wrought last year. To all folks in the path of the storm, we hope you are able to stay safe. Fingers crossed for the best possible outcome.

Sorry double entry.
The double ball tribal earrings were designed by Camille Miceli, a costume jewelry designer for Christian Dior. From the front seats of fashion runways, from Rihanna to Emma Watson, these earrings have been trending in the fashion world since June last year and worn by every fashionista and non fashionista I know. If you don’t mind the fakes and looking like everyone else, go for it. Who would have thought those two ballers would look good in one’s ears? be it for less than a dollar to the $600 plus more for the Dior original!
I’ll share you a dark secret. I own one too but have yet to wear it. They might think it is a fake, hee, hee? But hubby says I am no Elizabeth Taylor anyway.
Prayers that Ruby does not linger around and that everyone can stay away from disaster!
am sure the ladies were thrilled to get these
