Don’t Forget! T-shirts & Totes at S&R Taguig Saturday 9AM!

remind1

Just another reminder for folks who may have missed the lengthier announcement two days ago, Marketman and crew will be at S&R Fort Bonifacio (NOT Salcedo Market) on Saturday, 17 November 2007 to distribute t-shirts and totes and any prizes won in the recent “contests.” We hope to see you there! As an added incentive for you to drop by tomorrow, I have just finished baking 40 small tortas that used up approximately 60 egg yolks and nearly 3 pounds of butter! If I cut those up into 6 or 8 teeny tiny pieces, there will enough for everyone to have a small taste… :)

These are the shirts available tomorrow, in various quantities, in sizes XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL. The XS and XXL sizes are very limited, most fall into the S to L category.

“Have You Been To The Market Today?”
“I Beat My Eggs to Make Mayonnaise”
“Suki”
“Marketmaniac”

and “Suki” Totes as well.

See you at S&R Fort Bonifacio!

  1. chad, I thought about that too, but they are really big XXL’s the XL’s are sort of American XL’s, not Asian ones… :) And since more readers are female, I figured M and S would be in heavy demand…

  2. See you all tomorrow! And thanks for thoughtfully baking tortas for us…though we should be doing the giving as you, Mrs. MM, The Kid and crew have given us so much these past years. Bless your hearts!!!!

  3. artisan, you have it EXACTLY right, what the heck will I do with the eggwhites??? I froze them as I am crazed at the moment. And I didn’t want to try any meringue type stuff as it is humid as heck in Manila at the moment. Any brilliant ideas??? :)

  4. Hi, Marketman. Maybe Mae should share the booth tomorrow for those picking up orders of the the little brown book :-)

  5. MM, pardon my ignorance, but can we buy outright any of them tote bags and t-shirts sans any reservations or pledges to your causes?

Among others, I sure would love to show off them “mayonnaise” shirts at the gym – go figure, hehe.

At any rate, hope to see you there tomorrow.

Er, you would be the one with the Fedora hat and the moustache, right?

  6. Hello MM

Just caught up with the website and read about this w/end’s collections. We are currently in the UK (taking partener and baby son there for the first time)and will not be able to make the collections. I did pledge to take three t-shirts when you originally raised the idea and do not want to break the pledge. I really want to make sure that I can get the 1500 pesos to you – t.shirts not necessary – so perhaps you can e.mail me and suggest an alternate route. Thanks.

  7. Adam, enjoy your holiday and email me when you get back…will catch you then. Tedycapz, the shirts or totes aren’t for sale actually. If a readers donates a minimum of PHP to the feeding programs, I will GIVE the reader a choice of shirt or tote, as supplies last… Distributiion is on a first come, first serve basis… leigh, sorry, brownbooks for pick-up from the school only I understand…

  8. Hi MM! I hope you allot a certain number of tees and totes to the Megamall pick-up point because I cannot make it to S & R. Having said that, I will still show up to make my donation.

  9. too bad …can’t miss the 1st day of my ma classes tomorrow. i’ll be sending someone to give my donation and my brother in law’s ( a reader/ lurker ) tomorrow.

  10. I’m green with envy! I have an unbreakable appointment at 9 tomorrow and will miss the torta and seeing MM! Sigh. Megamall will have to suffice.

p.s. Once you start submitting comments, i find it has become a pretty regular habit. =)

  11. I’ve asked my sister to make a donation for me. She’ll be there with bells and whistles on…i just wish i could be there to experience it. Sounds like a lot of fun!

  12. oh boy… i might not be able to make it myself tom but im sending my staff over and hopefully there will still be enough totes when she gets there =) this is a great thing you’re planning MM! everyone’s donation will go a long long way to keep the kids happy. Congratulations MM and best of luck!! :D

  13. oh my!! i’ve been busy the past week and its only now that i got to view this site again. as i am here in the UK. i spoke to my bro who’s in manila and he said he can’t donate/buy the shirts for me …boohoo.
will you have another bazaar soon? you mentioned about SM Megamall MM, when would that be please? i was really looking forward to having the t-shirt. i’ll be checking this site again soon. cheers!!!

  14. I am sooo frustrated that I can’t be there in the morning, as I want to be able to take my pick of sizes (not to mention, taste the torta!). However, I will do my best to be there before you close at 2pm. If things go as planned, probably around noon. Hope to see you, MM! :-)

  15. Eggwhites contain a lot of albumin. Patients who require albumin are forced to buy the very expensive albumin (2500-3000 Pesos per bottle x 2-3x a day) that are injected to their circulation. those who cannot afford the intravenous albumin rely on the oral albumin. I am sure your eggwhites will go a long way to these patients.

  16. MM, Been busy lately…hmmmm, what to do with excess egg whites… brazo, canonigo, floating island, egg white facial, paste like what the friars did to build the baclayon church in bohol…..hehehe.

Did you know that if you had used ostrich egg, you only need 3 of them?

  17. I am so frustrated too because I could not come Manila to get one of those shirts and totes.

MM would you push your “scheduled” trip to Cebu? Please do inform us so I can fall in line for the shirts.
