All Zubuchon Restaurants Closed on Tuesday, 27 March 2012

We are taking a day off and heading to the beach for some fun and hopefully some sun! Our apologies to clients who wished to dine in or order whole lechons on Tuesday, but we are closed for the day. Our crew works hard and deserve a break… Nearly a hundred of us will be heading out on several large bancas for a (hopefully sunny) day at the beach, with some good food, and a lot of beer. :) We hope to serve you on another day this week, refreshed and tanned. Thank you! :)

  1. Looking forward to the pics! By the way, I am eating Zubuchon Chicharon right now! A friend who came from Cebu gave it to me as pasalubong. :)

  2. what a great Boss!! yeah–pictures please! the way the restaurants have taken off, the crew and staff must really be great!

  3. I commend you for doing that for your staff! Enjoy and I look forward seeing the pictures

  4. Have a nice day, lots of fun and hopefully enough beer! Even though I’m living in a wine area, we are also having the most breweries pe sq/m in the world and I love a fresh beer!

  5. enjoy! and dont forget the pictures! we will be waiting for them and of course the post about it :)

  6. I’m sure everyone will have one hell of a day. Wish I was there.

MM,you’re one hell of a nice boss, couldn’t ask for anybody better! Can’t wait for the pics.

  7. MM…YOU are the MAN! I wish more employers would take care of there employees like that, it brings loyalty and esprit de corp to the company.

  8. In this age where the shareholders matter much more than the employees and customers, it’s nice to know there are still companies that treat their employees right and just. You’re lucky you’re based in Cebu where splendid beaches are a stone’s throw away from the city. Question for you, if you were based in Manila, where would you bring your crew for a quick, easy to get to, and satisfying field trip? I can only think of the beaches of Batangas.

  9. Good job MM, you are a team leader and also a team member. Nobody is above or below you. Harmonious relationships and respect for your fellowmen are the keys to success. What you are doing is another big step into the right direction.

  10. Last Tuesday afternoon, I stopped by your Islands Hotel Branch and the hotel staff told me that the crew of Zubuchon are out for a company outing. I thought I will be going back to Manila without Zubuchon. Good thing you have frozen ones at the airport, at 4:00 in the morning. Such a great pasalubong! :)

  11. Before leaving for France, I dropped by your Escario branch with a friend and had an amazing time. I went back the next day for lunch with my husband because I just couldn’t leave the country if he didn’t try your food. In all honesty, I am not your biggest fan for the Lechon, but the rest of the food on the menu…oh la la! Both times, we had the Adobo, Mongo Guisado (just the way I love it!), Dinuguan, and Iba Shake. Just amazing! And I had the BEST biko for dessert. I can’t stop raving about it!

  12. So lucky to have gone on another day, MM! Best regards to Jose of the latest Zubuchon branch. Could have done with the stall at the airport for take-home, but nothing beats having zubuchon comfortably seated and waited on by your very friendly personnel.

  13. Hope you had a great time! Kudos to you and your crew. Thoroughly enjoyed the lunch we had at Zubuchon Escario when we went home last summer :) I still get hungry whenever I recall the lechon-stuffed squid!

  14. Can u give us some info re operating hours for the Holy Week? We’re planning to drop by for dinner on April 4. Thanks.

  15. Gene, Zubuchon restaurant outlets are closed on April 6, friday. Otherwise, normal hours apply for April 2, 3 and 4, with Mango and Escario branches opening at 10am and closing at 11pm. Islands Stay Mactan branch open at 6am to 11pm.

On April 5, restaurants will close at 9pm, and the last delivery of lechon will be in late afternoon.

April 7- onwards, normal operating hours. So for April 4, things should be operating as usual… if you would like to call ahead, Mango is 032.239.5697. Thanks!

PITS, thanks for dropping by, and Jose did give me your name while we were on our summer outing… :) Elodie, so happy you enjoyed the food, even if not the lechon… :) Ge, so sorry we weren’t able to serve you at the restaurant on Tuesday, I hope you make it back to Cebu soon! Mike, yes, Batangas would be the obvious choice, though Bataan might have some interesting beach destinations…

  16. Thanks for the heads-up. :) I’ll be visiting Cebu with my mom & siblings. They’d like to have a taste of the lechon I’ve been raving about since last year. Hopefully, we won’t end up eating reheated lechon. The last time kasi (in Dec 2011), naubusan kayo sa Mango branch so kumuha pa raw sa Escario branch. Unfortunately, they got the frozen version which of course can never take the place of the steaming, freshly-cooked one. :)

  17. gene, fresh lechons arrive at outlets around 11am, and roughly 545pm or so for Escario and Mango ave branches, so your chances of the freshest lechon are soon after that…

  18. I’m from Manila, what’s the normal closing and opening time of Zubuchon’s branches? Thanks in advance :)

  19. Hi Leony, the times vary by branch. To be safe, the branches at Mango and Escario Central should be open on all days from 10 am onwards. They have full menus. And they would close by 11pm or so. The Zubuchon Express outlets at Escario and Talamban have a more truncated, modestly priced menu, they are open by 10am as well, but close earlier in the evenings, say 8-9 depending on day. The Zubuchon at the Islands Stay hotel in Mactan is in the lobby of a hotel, so is open from 6am to 10pm, and is the only branch that currently serves our breakfast menu in addition to lunch/dinner. The branches receive fresh lechons at or around 11am and say 5pm, so for the freshest lechon, plan to visit within an hour or so after that. On busy days, lechons can run out by 730 or so, but usually we have some until 8 or so in the evening…
